We are not aware of any direct support from Welsh Government or elsewhere for public sector organisations in addressing the five calls for action identified by Audit Wales.
The route map sets a clear approach and framework towards achieving the very ambitious target set for 2030. Setting the priorities areas gives an indication of focus for public sector bodies to align to.
Progress has been steady across the public sector in Wales, however the level of investment required is proving to be the most difficult barrier.
The Welsh Government Energy service provide excellent support in the form of professional advice and technical reports etc. There has been a significant challenge to ensure the carbon data capture/reporting model is fit for all sectors. The availability of grants to support the priority areas has been limited and restricted by time constraints which have not taken supply chain timescales into consideration.
